Drew: The Man Behind The Poster will be screening at Kevin Smith's Smodcastle Cinemas on August 28th at 8pm in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey! The screening will start with a special video introduction by Back to the Future writer and producer, Bob Gale! Live Q&A afterwards with director, Erik Sharkey (Floyd Norman: An Animated Life), Cinematographers Tom Mumme and Greg Boas (Drew Barrymore Show), and will be moderated by Ming Chen (AMC's Comic Book Men). Everyone who buys a ticket and attends will receive a free 8x10 limited edition Mallrats print made from Drew Struzan's personal archives. Some original Drew Struzan artwork will also be displayed! DREW: THE MAN BEHIND THE POSTER is a feature-length documentary exploring the life and work of Drew Struzan, the artist who created the posters for some of the most iconic movies of the past 30 years, including Indiana Jones, Back to the Future and Star Wars, among many others. Director Erik Sharkey and Producer Charles Ricciardi tell the story of this distinctive artist, beginning with his early works in commercial and album cover art for Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath, to his acclaimed career as one of the most recognizable and influential movie poster artists of all time. The film features exclusive interviews with noted filmmakers, artists and critics including George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Michael J. Fox, Frank Darabont, Guillermo del Toro, Steven Spielberg, and many others.
